Copper-clad steel products are a new type of grounding material. They utilize a continuous electrolytic plating process to deposit copper ions onto the surface of pre-treated steel cores, forming a dense molecular bond between copper and steel. This results in a bimetallic product that combines the mechanical strength of steel with the high electrical conductivity and strong corrosion resistance of copper. Such products are commonly used in various grounding devices, lightning protection systems, equipotential bonding, and grounding busbars.

Product Introduction

1. The assembly consists of grounding rods, drive heads, connectors, and drill bits. The grounding rods use a continuous electrolytic plating process to deposit copper ions onto the surface of pre-treated steel cores, forming a dense molecular bond between copper and steel. This creates an alloy product that possesses both the mechanical strength of steel and the high electrical conductivity and strong corrosion resistance of steel.
2. Surface quality: The copper layer is smooth and even, with no obvious defects or other harmful irregular edges.
3. Coating thickness: Coating thickness ≥ 0.254 mm; Dimensions: Nominal diameter deviation ≤ ±0.10 mm.
4. Tensile strength: The tensile strength of copper-clad steel is greater than 300 MPa, and the length between the fracture point and the fixture is greater than 25.4 mm.
5. Bending performance: After bending tests, the copper layer shows no cracks, fissures, pits, or other defects that could impair the material's corrosion resistance.
6. Resistivity and conductivity: Resistivity ≤ 8.62 × 10⁻⁸ Ω·m, conductivity ≥ 20%.
7. Thermal stability coefficient: Thermal stability coefficient C ≥ 119.
8. Electrical-corrosion performance: After current-temperature cycle tests, freeze-thaw tests, neutral salt spray tests, and fault current impact tests, the final resistance increase is less than 50%. During each intermediate test phase, the resistance increase is less than 15%. After testing, the surface shows no cracks, fissures, pits, blisters, or other defects that could impair the material's corrosion resistance.
9. Grounding electrodes can be connected to the required length and driven up to 30 meters underground, unaffected by any climatic conditions (such as frost and drought) that might increase soil resistivity and grounding resistance.
10. Soil applicability: Suitable for any harsh soil environments, including mountains, rocky terrain, and highly acidic or alkaline soils.
